Back to the Oregon Zoo again to see Zoo Lights.
We found the bats this year. Looks like they’re male.

Summary Work sent me to London and Zurich this year. Was a good opportunity to see some things I don’t normally get to see. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to Bletchley Park. They have all manner of historical cryptography related equipment, including quite a bit from World War II.
Zurich Of course I spent most of my time working, but I did manage to get out for a couple evenings to see the town.
Spent a few hours at the Oregon Zoo. It started out a bit foggy and then cleared up. We saw Iguanas, Asian Elephants, Mandrils, Seals, and a spider repairing its web. One of the new(er) additions is Lucy. A baby Asian elephant (almost 1100lbs now).

Between parties, and talks for Defcon 21, I managed to get out to the strip and take a few pictures. The last time I was in Las Vegas, for VM World, I’d gotten a nice walk up and down both sides of the strip. This time, I wanted a little different perspective. I spent most of my time between the gardens inside the Bellagio, and the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower, 460’ above the strip (They had to settle for a 1/2 size replica because of the proximity to McCarran, they are in the flight path).
