Brazos Bend State Park is a 4,897-acre (1,982 ha) state park along the Brazos River in Needville, Texas, a little over 30mi from Houston. This was my first opportunity to see (live) Alligators (zoo’s don’t count), Also seen: Great Egret (spear fishing), and Box Turtles. Brazos Bend State Park occupies land bordering the Brazos River and includes within its boundaries low-lying areas left over from the river’s previous meanderings. Pre-Columbian inhabitants included a series of Native American groups, most notably the Karankawa.

On Sunday night (Sept 27), there was a “Super Blood Moon”. A Super Blood Moon is a combination of phenomenon (Supermoon1 and Blood Moon2). A supermoon happens when the moon is closest to earth in its orbit. A blood moon frequently happens with a Lunar Eclipse. When the two happen to coincide, you get a reddish moon that looks larger than normal. The last Super Blood Moon happened in 1982, and the next one won’t happen until 2033.
Exporting Overview This is a quick post with an overview on how I export photos from Adobe Lightroom. I have created a group of specific exports, because I want to keep my settings for each export from getting in the way with any others. I make use of several plugins for these exports including LR/Mogrify2, and jf Metadata Wrangler. LR/Mogrify2 lets you add borders and/or text annotations to photos during an export.

The red coloring is laterite soil that formed by floodplain deposits when the area was warm and humid (this was not recent.
