Decided to try going to Shoreline for the 4th of July this year. Last year we went to the USS Hornet, docked in Alameda. It was really great to be able to look around an Aircraft Carrier, but once the sun went down, it got windy and there was nothing to block the wind. Got a little chilly.  Anyway, went to Shoreline Amphitheatre this year with some friends. We had a picnic dinner, and played some games before the fireworks started. We had a pretty good view, and I was not sorry we decided to sit outside in the grass and not pay for seats. The really spectacular fireworks have a scene that they illuminate in additional to being pretty lights, and these didn’t have any interesting scenery. Still, lots of pretty lights, you can’t say no to that.
