Went back to Treasure Island again. Found an anchor this time. It wasn’t golden hour, but I think it turned out reasonably well. I tried a technique I saw recently on Scott Kelby’s blog for effects from his recent trip to Cuba. It doesn’t take long, perhaps 1m per photo. Its a little like HDR, but not quite as much. Just tweaking some things a little in Lightroom. I think this one turned out pretty well. The more I use the EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II, the more I enjoy it.  It continually pushes me to find new angles and gives me new ways of seeing things.
