Adira's Hafla

Went to Adira’s Hafla today. Lots of good belly dancing, even though it was the middle of the day and swelteringly hot (98°F, tying the high temperature of the day. The previous record was 98 degrees set in 1954). Fortunately there were some tents setup, but it was still very warm. There was a wide range of performers today, ranging from those with less than a few years experience, to those with over 3 decades (some day, I’ll have 3 decades of experience doing something more than just breathing). Canon’s EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II is quickly becoming my go-to lens for belly dancing. I really enjoy the flexibility the range offers, not to mention the nearly instant AF and shallow DoF. The only thing I don’t enjoy is the 3.5lbs I have to hold in the air.
