Rakassah West 2012, a Middle Eastern dance festival, was in Richmond, CA again this year.
People fly in from around the world. I decided to try out Canon’s new EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II lens to see what all the hype was about. I rented one from Borrow Lenses for a very reasonable price. The lens was in excellent condition. I like to test lenses at bellydance performances because its a good test of focusing in bad to horrible lighting conditions, sometimes, with little contrast. This lens was amazing. Focus was always achieved in less than 1 second. Pictures were sharp and clear with no distortion. The only downside is that now I want to buy one.
