Train ride at Roaring Camp

Went to Roaring Camp today.  My first time playing with an ultra-wide angle (UWA) zoom: Canon’s EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L USM.  I’ve spent the last 8mo. getting use to my 50mm f/1.4 USM.  By comparison, this is amazingly wide.  I have to practically get on top of something before it will fill the frame. For reference, the picture of the tree trunk was taken at a distance of about 6-8" from the trunk and the trunk is about 4’ in diameter.  Its a challenge to learn to view something so differently. The UWA appears to have the effect of expanding the subject, where-as a normal lens (such as the 50mm) does not.
